Jeff's Story
My journey into dog parenthood began in 2020, and with it came the discovery of a deep and lasting passion for working with animals. As I searched for the best possible life for my beloved miniature schnauzer, Frida, I was introduced to the powerful impact of enrichment, desensitization, and counterconditioning. What began as a personal effort to support my own dog quickly grew into a calling—one that now allows me to support other dog parents and their dogs in living more confident, fulfilled lives.
Frida came into my life with her own challenges, including increasing fearfulness and reactivity. Determined to help her feel safe and understood, I immersed myself in learning about canine enrichment and behavior. The progress we made together was truly transformative. Watching Frida grow more confident and relaxed showed me firsthand how impactful thoughtful, science-based enrichment can be. That experience inspired me to share this approach with other dogs and the people who love them.
I am fortunate to work alongside an exceptional reward-based trainer, Nancy Le, at In Tune Dog Training in San Jose. Through her mentorship, I continue to refine my skills, expand my knowledge, and grow as a professional in this ever-evolving field.
In 2022, I welcomed Dali, a black and silver miniature schnauzer, into my life. Dali accompanied me throughout my education at the CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and gave me the joyful puppy experience I had long hoped for. Today, he often joins me on walks with clients and has become a wonderful support for dogs who are shy or unsure. His calm, friendly presence helps build confidence in other pups, creating a relaxed and positive environment during our sessions. Dali truly embodies the heart of what I strive to create—safe, enriching, and enjoyable experiences for every dog.
Education is the foundation of my work, and I am deeply committed to staying current with evidence-based practices in canine behavior and training. In 2022, I completed the BehaviorWorks Living and Learning with Animals (LLA) course led by Dr. Susan Friedman. I completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Course with Michael Shikashio in September 2024 and am currently enrolled in Scent for Six at the School for Canine Sciences and Zero to CD with Hannah Branigan.

Fear-Free and Ethical Training Philosophy
As a Fear-Free Certified Professional, I am deeply committed to a philosophy that prioritizes your dog’s emotional and physical well-being. Every interaction, activity, and training session I offer is designed to be a source of joy for your dog—free from stress, fear, or anxiety. I create carefully curated programs that promote exploration, learning, and growth within a safe and nurturing environment, helping your dog thrive with confidence and happiness.
At the heart of my work is an unwavering commitment to ethical and humane training practices. I believe the bond between a dog and their owner should be built on trust, respect, and mutual understanding. That’s why I exclusively use positive reinforcement methods, which encourage desired behaviors without causing harm or distress.
I hold myself—and my clients—to the highest standards of care. For this reason, I reserve the right to decline services to individuals who use aversive training techniques, such as shock collars, choke chains, or any form of physical punishment. My mission is to enhance your dog’s overall health, happiness, and well-being, creating a quality of life that every dog deserves.
